Miles Ahead Entertainment (MAE) is a woman- and minority-owned, MDOT/WOSB certified, global multi-cultural agency specializing in strategic planning, talent acquisition management, concierge sponsorship engagement, digital and social media marketing and virtual event. 


Our Miles Ahead Broadcasting (MAB) produces broadcast customized properties.   We are intentional in our approach to designing and implementing strategies that are focused on aggressively driving brand and business growth in a cross section of diverse industries.  Our company is based in Mitchellville, MD with satellite affiliates in Los Angeles, New York, Charlotte, NC and Detroit, Michigan. 


MAE and its principal, Sheila Eldridge, have been recognized with numerous awards over the years for the company’s stellar work and certified by various government agencies.

Miles Ahead Entertainment & Broadcasting CEO Sheila Eldridge has acquired more than 25 years of experience in the fields of broadcasting, corporate communications, integrated marketing, talent acquisition,  event activation and public relations.  

She is a graduate of Howard University’s School of Communications in Washington, D.C. where she began her professional career in communications at WHUR-FM.  She later completed an advance program at UCLA specializing in Crisis Management and New Communications Technology.

After spending several years in corporate America, Eldridge knew she was destined for entrepreneurship and founded Orchid Communications, a full-service entertainment communications firm. With offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New Jersey Orchid’s roster of clients included such entertainers as Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the O’Jays, Ice T, En Vogue, Phyllis Hyman, Babyface and Yolanda Adams to name a few.  Drawing on her managaement knowledge from UCLA along with her astute business savvy, Orchid Communications expanded its services to target corporate brands with multimedia marketing thus rebranding the firm today as Miles Ahead Entertainment  & Broadcasting  www.milesaheadentertainment.comwith a diverse client base includes Sprint &  Boost Mobile,  Coca-Cola, Toyota America,  National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), AARP, Essence Communications,  Hyundai Motor America, McDonald’s,  Brotherhood Crusade and United Healthcare.    


Alisa Joseph is a talented, results-producing business professional with a proven record of accomplishments in event management, brand advertising campaigns, strategic planning, experiential marketing, and social media strategies.  She has over 25 years of corporate and financial services experience and brings a wealth of knowledge in multicultural marketing, supply chain management, diversity initiatives, and management.  In her corporate roles at Wachovia and Wells Fargo she directed large events targeting African American segment.  This experience includes the identification and booking of celebrity talent (e.g., speakers, musical entertainers, etc.), fee negotiation, and on-site talent management.   She is graduate of Fordham University with a B.S. in Psychology, has a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and has served on nonprofit boards.


Alex Hill hails from River Rouge, Michigan, Alex graduated from Consortium College Prep High School as the Class of 2010 Valedictorian. His focus was solely on studying nursing. Upon entering college, his passion for singing led him to join the Stellar Award nominated Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University and found himself in the field of public relations.


While completing his final course at Howard University, Alex was tapped by Sheila Eldridge, the president/CEO of Miles Ahead Entertainment (MAE). He juggled both class and hitting the road with Café Mocha Radio show for the Salute Her Awards series and learned first hand the unique talent of working with   celebrities and event coordination etc.  


Over the last six years with Miles Ahead, Alex has been afforded the opportunity to work with  an array of companies, media outlets and talent such as Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, Ford Motor Company, Verizon, McDonald’s, My Black Is Beautiful, Hyundai Motor America, Toyota USA, Gladys Knight, Kenny Lattimore, Pam Grier, Stephanie Mills, Angie Stone, Cynthia Bailey, Brandy, Audrey Smaltz, Kirk Whalum, Boyz II Men, Big Sean, SybrinaFulton, People Magazine, E!, Huffington Post, ABC News, NBC News, theGrio  just to name a few. 


Linda J. Vilardo, founder of MPowerment Consulting, LLC, has 35 years of experience as a legal and business advisor.    

Prior to forming MPowermentConsulting, Ms. Vilardo was Executive Vice President of Urban One, Inc. (formerly Radio One, Inc.), a national multi-media company and the largest distributor of content focused on and curated for the  African-American community.  She joined the company in 1998 as its first General Counsel.  In that position Ms. Vilardo was responsible for all contracts entered into by the company, including talent and vendor agreements.
